Services available at Soul Puppy are specialized to TCVM. All patients are treated with acupuncture with the option of additional herbal and food therapies
Dr. Brown does not offer any Western/Allopathic medicine, services, procedures or medications at this location. If an Integrative approach is preferred which includes both TCVM & Western/Allopathic options, these services may be available via an Integrative Housecall with Dr. Brown on a case by case basis.

Acupuncture has been performed on people and animals for thousands of years. Modern research confirms its beneficial effects of assisting the body with pain relief, tissue healing, immunoregulation, anti-inflammatory effects, GI motility and more.

TCVM Acupuncture addresses the whole patient and can be integrated into every medical condition to help the patient heal: body, mind and spirit!

The number and frequency of acupuncture treatments varies with each individual patient. Three to six treatments every 1 to 2 weeks is typically recommended to start, then monthly or as needed on case by case basis. Many patients benefit from tune up appointments every 1 to 3 months for chronic conditions and general wellness and prevention. The sooner treatments are started the better the response.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine is one of the four main branches of TCVM. It utilizes ingredients from the Chinese Herbal Materia Medica in blends formulated to treat TCVM pattern diagnoses.

Chinese Herbal selection is based on many factors tailored to each individual patient. Factors include patient tongue and pulse diagnosis, diagnostic scan results, Five Element Theory, TCVM Patient Pattern Diagnoses, patient history, current lab results, season/time of year, and more.

Dr. Brown utilizes herbal blends from Jing Tang Herbal available in office or by convenient home delivery.

Dr. Browns recommends treating patients with a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, food therapy and whole food supplements for optimal response on case by case basis.

Food Therapy (TCVM)

Food Therapy is one of the four main branches of TCVM. It utilizes diet to treat and prevent imbalances within the body.

TCVM food therapy is customized to each individual patient based on the patients TCVM pattern diagnosis, food energetics, and more.
