SMALL BUSINESS COURTESY & NOT ONE MORE VET STATEMENT
Dr. Brown IS this small business! Thank you for respecting her time by submitting a request with the intention to work specifically with her i.e. this is not a same day, walk in, emergency or quick response acupuncture service. Dr. Brown created this beautifully detailed website with heart for pet owner convenience as on-demand reception is not available. It contains everything needed and more to decide to request to work with her for TCVM Acupuncture and TCVM related adjunct services.
Many pet owners contact Dr. Brown with lengthy voice messages and emails wanting her to confirm that their pets can be treated before deciding to request to come to Soul Puppy. It is not possible for Dr. Brown to personally respond to requests for pre-appointment interviews or chats as she gives her patients her undivided attention. Consider this, would you want Dr. Brown to answer the phone during your pet's appointment? She didn't think so either.
Dr. Brown understands many pet owners are not familiar with TCVM which is why she created this very detailed site. Expecting her to respond to communication in order to confirm that a pet can be treated before submitting a new client request form, providing medical records & having an in-person TCVM Exam/Consult with Acupuncture treatment is an unrealistic expectation. Generally speaking, it is impractical to assume any veterinarian has the free time to offer complimentary interviews or chats AND be available for actual in-person appointments, case management follow up, etc. small business or not. Nevertheless, to accommodate such requests, Dr. Brown has created a Prospective Client Inquiry option for a one-time special correspondence email response (restrictions apply). Online inquiry form and nonrefundable, nontransferable, prepaid fee required for her time.
Hint: the answer, found on multiple pages of this very site, is YES. TCVM can be integrated into EVERY medical condition INCLUDING wellness & prevention. Pet specific questions and treatment plans require an in-person appointment.
What exactly is the root question here anyways? In Dr. Browns opinion, the root question is most likely related to asking for a guarantee of results. Dr. Brown has never once been asked this question regarding conventional veterinary medicine in the almost two decades that she has been a practicing veterinarian. The irony is many make it a point to tell her about the thousands upon thousands of dollars already spent on conventional veterinary medicine and therefore want a guarantee in results for TCVM? Read that again. Again. One more time.
In Dr. Browns experience, true skeptical pet owners that want a guarantee in TCVM results prior to requesting an actual appointment won't notice signs of improvement because one, they are not looking as their mind is already made up before starting. Second, almost every single one she has encountered has only allowed one treatment, which is another unrealistic expectation that only confirms the skepticism.
Has Dr. Brown helped paralyzed dogs walk again? Yes. Has she helped IMHA dogs discontinue steroids? Yes. Has she given many dogs and cats several more years of good quality of life when the owner was told to euthanize before contacting her? Yes. Has she helped manage canine and feline renal failure well beyond the expectations of Western Medicine alone? Yes. Did she help a cat with a multi-year history of chronic sneezing stop sneezing? Yes. Does she help constipated cats go home and poop? Yes. Can she magically stop diarrhea? Yes. Ok not magically but you get the point (no pun intended)!
While Dr. Brown does not give guarantees or promote unrealistic expectations as she is a mere mortal, a Leo, but still human.... what she will do is share her many success stories and continue to provide the best patient care possible. Although, she will only do so by upholding her business boundaries which protect her safety and mental health, as the veterinary profession is riddled with compassion fatigue and suicide, a battle sadly many colleagues have lost. Which is why she created Soul Puppy in the first place!
Soul Puppy is Dr. Browns Zen healing space and functions exactly as detailed on her site. Expecting anything different directly contributes to the profession's epidemic.
Dr. Brown will not become another statistic to make the point so please review her site that she spent so much time creating, follow its detailed instructions, respect her business boundaries and if her practice resonates with you then request to work with her. If not, she wishes you and your furry fam Good Qi only. Thank you!
